It is possible that the period of termination of this system of things will last seven years, let me explain:
Jesus said that his presence as well as the termination would follow the model established in the Days of Noah:
" 38 For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39 and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be."
According to Matthew 24:38, the signal of the termination of Noah's day was the day that the Father, and only the Father, would say to Noah, "Go into the ark"
Noah entering the ark would mark the beginning of the termination of that world
Genesis 7:1
"After that Jehovah said to Noah: “Go, you and all your household, into the ark"
4 For in just seven days more I am making it rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights;
10 And seven days later it turned out that the waters of the deluge came upon the earth.
Notice that in the Noah's case , the termination lasted 7 days.
The entering of Noah in the ark represents the entering of Jesus' brothers in the Kingdom of God. Christians inherit the kingdom in the same way as Jesus, their precursor, inherited it when he was resurrected long time ago (Jesus became a ruling King of the Kingdom of God when he ascended to heaven and not in 1914)
Notice that Noah was a preacher of Justice Before entering into the Ark
The people of Jehovah preaches for years before entering the Kingdom of God (so that asserting 1914 as the beginning of the presence is an error)
Please consider:
1 Peter 3:20 "…when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days, while the ark was being constructed"
James 5:7 Exercise patience, therefore, brothers, until the presence of the Lord…8 YOU too exercise patience; make YOUR hearts firm, because the presence of the Lord has drawn close.
God patiently waits for the Greater King David (Jesus) to finish building the Temple of God - the congregation of anointed Christians.
When the building of the Temple is finished , as the ark was also concluded, the system will enter its termination, God will say: People, go into Jesus' Kingdom.
According to Luke 21:20-24 and Revelation 11:1-4 the holy city would be trampled by the nations for 42 months.
Now take on account that:
Rev 11:7 And when they have finished their witnessing [AFTER 1260 days], the wild beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them and conquer them and kill them.
Thus, this system is still alive after 1260 days of testimony of the two witnesses.
These first 42 months (Rev 11:1-4) refer to the Tribulation period - especially over the people of God [Luke 21:23] during WW3 and others chaos.
After the tribulation and chaos (the ashes of war) the beast ascends from the abyss and exercise your domain for an hour [Next 42 months], as follows:
Revelation 13:3 but its death-stroke got healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration…
5 And a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given it, and authority to act forty-two months was given it.
In these next 42 months the people of God will be fully taken its right condition, the anointed will be martyred by the beast. Thus the way will be open for God to judge the world, beginning with Babylon the Great
Notice please Daniel 8:13-14
13 And I got to hear a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one proceeded to say to the particular one who was speaking: “How long will the vision be of the constant [feature] and of the transgression causing desolation, to make both [the] holy place and [the] army things to trample on?” 14 So he said to me: “Until two thousand three hundred evenings [and] mornings; and [the] holy place will certainly be brought into its right condition.”
2300 evenings [and] mornings, Namely, 6 years, 4 months and 20 days.
At this point God brings His judgment against the world...
Daniel - Seven Times prophecy:
Daniel 4:16 Let its heart be changed from that of mankind [REPUBLIC], and let the heart of a beast [Monarch - a wild BEAST or Eighth KING - REV 17:11] be given to it, and let seven times pass over it. 17 By the decree of watchers the thing is, and [by] the saying of holy ones the request is, to the intent that people living may know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind and that to the one whom he wants to, he gives it and he sets up over it even the lowliest one of mankind [Jesus].”
'and let seven times pass over it' - For in just seven days [years] more I am making it rain upon the earth.
During the termination, Satan and his unified kingdoms will be humiliated, as Nebuchadnezzar did.
So we have logical reasons to think that the conclusion of this system of things will be the last week of years of this system (with an undetermined date to begin - Only God
knows the "hour or day" to say: "My people, enter into the ark or enter into my Kingdom" )
After this command "go into the ark", Jehovah might apply his axiom:
Deuteronomy 15:1
1 “At the end of every seven years you should make a release
Just as the ark was the means used by God to save humanity, the Kingdom of God shall be the ark this time
God will release mankind from Babel's world in the Armageddon war
