If anyone loves me, my Father will love him

Luke 18:8  Nevertheless, when the Son of man arrives, will he really find the faith on the earth?

"He that puts faith in me...living water will flow."

John 7:37 Jesus was standing up and he cried out, saying: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38 He that puts faith in me, just as the Scripture has said, ‘Out from his inmost part streams of living water will flow.’” 39 However, he said this concerning the spirit which those who put faith in him were about to receive; for as yet there was no spirit, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

"concerning the spirit (living water) which those who put faith in him were about to receive"

" which those who put faith in him" -  It is granted.

Axiom: He that puts faith in Jesus Christ receives Holy Spirit. Because Jesus has been glorified. (Acts 3:13, Acts 2:33 )

Axiom: Luke 11: 10 For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking it will be opened
13 how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!” ( everyone asking receives)

John 3:17 For God sent forth his Son into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 He that exercises faith in him is not to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

To be a dead (Rev 20:5) is not the good news of Jesus Christ - John 5:24
To be a dead "now" is really BAD news. It is a real indication of a lacking faith, of fail, of judgement ( 2 Cor 13:5)

John 3:36 He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him

but the wrath of God remains upon him.- They are still dead (Rev 20:5) And They are dead because they have no true faith:

"He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life"
"He that doesn't exercise faith in the Son is dead" (Rev 20:5)

John 5:24 Most truly I say to YOU, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has everlasting life, and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life.

"and he does not come into judgment but has passed over from death to life."

To be a DEAD now is not Good news , it is bad news, it reflects a lacking faith.

Organization and people out there are "selling" "to be a dead"(Rev 20:5) as a good news, but is indeed BAD NEWS. It means the person is a loser. (Matthew 8:22)

"from death to life"

If a person is a dead now , it is because he did not have real faith.

John 7: 38 He that puts faith in me, just as the Scripture has said, ‘Out from his inmost part streams of living water will flow.’”

The good news is to receive the holy spirit by putting faith in the glorified Jesus Christ (Luke 11:13, Ephesians 2:18, Ephesians 4:4, Galatians 3:14 ) and to become live now. (John 5:24)

2 Cor 5:20 We are therefore ambassadors substituting for Christ, as though God were making entreaty through us. As substitutes for Christ we beg: “Become reconciled to God."

“Become reconciled to God."  => Have faith in Jesus Christ and you will receive witness of God's spirit as a token indicating that your sins were forgiven, you “Became reconciled to God."

If a person did not receive the holy spirit NOW is because he is lacking FAITH:

Emblems are for all those putting faith in Jesus Christ

Galatians 3:14 The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham might come to be by means of Jesus Christ for the nations, that we might receive the promised spirit through our faith.

"we might receive the promised spirit through our faith."

All those putting REAL faith in Jesus Christ receive holy spirit, it is granted by the Lord Jesus Christ:

Genuine Faith in Jesus Christ leads to holy Spirit:

John 14:21 He that has my commandments and observes them, that one is he who loves me. In turn he that loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will plainly show myself to him.”

and will plainly show myself to him => witnessing of holy spirit

John 14:23 In answer Jesus said to him: “If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our abode with him.

we shall come to him and make our abode with him => residence/abode of the Holy Spirit. (1 Cor 3:16, 2 Cor 6:16)

Luke 11: 13 Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!”

All someone need is have real faith in Jesus Christ. Real love for him. "For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking it will be opened."

Having faith in Jesus Christ: Who Will take the first step? Who will ask, seek and knock?

Matthew 10:32 “Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens; 33 but whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown+ him before my Father who is in the heavens.

John 14:21 He that has my commandments and observes them, that one is he who loves me. In turn he that loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will plainly show myself to him.”

People are not having their sins forgiven NOW because they is not asking Holy Spirit, They are not having real faith in Jesus Christ, they are "dead"

And some people / organization is telling to such misled, unloved people:
"it is Okay to be a dead… (Rev 20:5)"
" It is okay come into judgment "(John 5:24)
"It is okay to remain under the wrath of God" (John 3:36 )

Someone needs to tell them that it is NOT okay…

Jonh 6:28 Therefore they said to him: “What shall we do to work the works of God?” 29 In answer Jesus said to them: “This is the work of God, that YOU exercise faith in him whom that One sent forth.”

Ephesians 1:13 But YOU also hoped in him after YOU heard the word of truth, the good news about YOUR salvation. By means of him also, after YOU believed, YOU were sealed with the promised holy spirit

After you heard the truth, after you believed,  "YOU were sealed with the promised holy spirit".

In which stage are you? Did you hear the truth in order to believe it? In order to be sealed with 'living waters'...

John 4:10 In answer Jesus said to her: “If you had known the free gift of God and who it is that says to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

1 Corinthians 11:28 First let a man approve himself after scrutiny, and thus let him eat of the loaf and drink of the cup. 29 For he that eats and drinks eats and drinks judgment against himself if he does not discern the body. 30 That is why many among YOU are weak and sickly, and quite a few are sleeping [in death].

Romans 14:10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written: “‘As I live,’ says Yah, ‘to me every knee will bend down, and every tongue will make open acknowledgment to God.’” 12 So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.

Luke 6:37 “Moreover, stop judging, and YOU will by no means be judged; and stop condemning, and YOU will by no means be condemned. Keep on releasing, and YOU will be released.

Was Jesus referring just to Jewish nation under covenant while speaking:

John 7:38 He that puts faith in me… 'living water will flow.’ ?

"for the Jewish nation,  and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God" - not only for that Jewish nation sheepfold, but also for the scattered children of God" - from all nations

John 11:51 He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, 52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— 2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life[a] was a descendant of David, 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power[b] by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. 5 Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from[c] faith for his name’s sake.

Jesus' words about 'living water will flow’ also apply for those from all nations: "they that puts faith in me"

Luke 13:29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

Romans 9:25-26
25 As he says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people;
and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”[a]
26 and, “In the very place where it was said to them,
    ‘You are not my people,’
there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”

1 John 5:10 The [person] putting his faith in the Son of God has the witness given in his own case. The [person] not having faith in God has made him a liar, because he has not put his faith in the witness given, which God as witness has given concerning his Son. 11 And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life.

" He that puts faith in Jesus Christ receives Holy Spirit - has been born from God"

1 John 5:1 Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God, and everyone who loves the one that caused to be born loves him who has been born from that one. 2 By this we gain the knowledge that we are loving the children of God, when we are loving God and doing his commandments. 3 For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome, 4 because everything that has been born from God conquers the world. And this is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith

Faith leads to "living water", leads to Holy Spirit

John 6:63 It is the spirit that is life-giving; the flesh is of no use at all. The sayings that I have spoken to YOU are spirit and are life. 64 But there are some of YOU that do not believe.”

Galatians 3:26 YOU are all, in fact, sons of God through YOUR faith in Christ Jesus.

John 16:8 And when that one arrives he will give the world convincing evidence concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment: 9 in the first place, concerning sin, because they are not exercising faith in me;

Foi um acidente ou foi de propósito??

Paulo Vicentini said...

Paulo Vicentini said...

Paulo Vicentini said...

Ah, entendi.
